He was predeceased by: his father James W. Dilworth; and his uncle Walter Sherman. He is survived by: his mother Ella L. Carter; his aunt Betty Summerhill; his wife Christina San Miguel; his children, James C. Dilworth, Emilio Cuevas and Catherine Dilworth; and his siblings, Alethia Donald (Darren), Felicia Baldwin (Preston), Elanor Montgomery, Angela Dilworth, Edward Montgomery (Victoria) and Jim Dilworth (Mandie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
