It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Sopiarz of Gary, Indiana, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on August 6, 2020, at the age of 20, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandmother Judith Sopiarz. He is survived by: his parents, Jeanne Michele Sopiarz (Montgomery) of Gary, IN and Matthew Sopiarz; his siblings, Philip J. Sopiarz of Gary, IN, Rosalea M. Sopiarz of Gary, IN, Thomas M. Sopiarz of Gary, IN and Aleksander M. Sopiarz of Gary, IN; his grandparents, Mary Jo West (Gary) of Peoria, IL, James Montgomery (Linda) of Erie, IL and Richard Sopiarz of Beecher, IL; and his godparents, Michael and Michotte Montgomery of Crown Point, IN. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions and requirements, all attendees are required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
