She was predeceased by: her husband James A. "Jim" Barnes; her sons, David Wayne and Charles Edward; and her parents, James Diggs and Susie Diggs.
She is survived by: her children, Paula Barnes-Knepple of Aurora, IL, Sharon Cannata of Sanger, TX, Debbie Victor of Crown Point, IN and James C. Barnes (Jeanene) of Marengo, IN; and her daughter-in-law Linda Barnes. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
