She is survived by: her husband Wiley Leonard; her daughters, Kathleen Wilson, Mariola Williams, Beverly Leonard, Phyllis Wingfield (Richard), Sharon Leonard Sheriff (Saleem) and Wanda Leonard-Pettigrew; her grandchildren, Darryl Wilson, Derrick Wilson, Troy Isom, Yolanda Pitts, Kimberly Isom Ficek (Scott), Marlon Hannon (Jennifer), Annester Griffin, Sayeeda Abdul-Alahad Attia (Ahmad), Robert Pettigrew (Victoria) and Ryon Pettigrew; her great grandchildren, Alexia, Tatianna Isom, Shawn, Andrew Pitts, Isley, Aniya Griffin, Wyatt Cobbs (Manny), Aubrey Dillon, Elijah, Isaiah Hannon, Aleksandr Ficek, Thanaa and Naimah Mahmoudi; and her great great grandchild Chance Pitts. She is also survived by nieces, nephews; great-nieces and great- nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews, relatives and friends.

Dorothy's belief and passion for educating young people, led her to Nurseryland Foundation.
