He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Williams and Nettie Williams; his wife Mildred Louise Williams; his son Clyde Williams; and his siblings, James Howard, Rufus, Weldon, Cecil Cottingham, Willis Williams, Ruth Townsend and Carrie McCrae.
He is survived by: his children, Ruby Johnson, Gwendolyn Henley, Monwella Hartfield and Denise Williams; his grandchildren, LaTonya Ketchup (Carter) and Cartiae Ketchup; his sister Alice Mae McCall; and his sisters-in-law, Sally Williams and Olean Williams. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
