She was predeceased by: her mother Phyllis Gant; her grandparents, David and Sarah Hutchinson; her aunts, Birdie Sherls, Doris Watkins, Sally Hutchinson and Doris Hutchinson; her uncle Joseph McMillan; and her cousin Gregory Hutchinson.

She is survived by: her sister Teresa Turnipseed-Sain; her stepfather Robert Gant; and her aunts and uncles, Eugene Hutchinson of Chicago, IL, Al Hutchinson of Las Vegas, NV, Delores McMillan of Riverview and Hortense Smith (James) of Gary. She is also survived by cousins and friends.
