He was predeceased by: his father Ollie Hugh Smithey; and his brother Jeffery Smithey. He is survived by: his mother Barbara Smithey; his siblings, Deborah, Terry, Edward, Suzi and Amber; his daughter Shannon M. Smithey Trotier; the mother of his child Belinda; his grandson Elijah; his daughters, Jessica and Ashley Smithey; and his partner's sons, Sam and Carlos.
