He is survived by: his son Damon Charles Upshaw; his grandchildren, Damon Charles Upshaw Jr., Dajana, Dakija, Mya and Maysie Upshaw; his brother Fred Upshaw Jr; and his aunt Donna Jean Johnson. He is also survived by other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
