He is survived by: his children, John Wayne Berkman, Jennifer Bergstrom (Bjorn) and Samuel Berkman; his stepchildren, Rachel Malloy (Eddie) and Ryan Peterson (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Jason, Jaxson, Iyla, McKenna and Madisyn; his brother Brian Berkman (Nadine); his siblings-in-law, Jeff "Conan" Wyllie and Diana Falk-Berkman; and his former wife Linda M. Sullivan.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home (4201 W Ridge Rd, Gary, IN 46408).
