He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Floyd and Minnie L. Austin; and his siblings, Alda M. Crotts, Eva Doran Couch, Annie Belle Austin and Thomas Jesse Austin.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Dean Bowling of Savannah; his children, Joanna Rinks of Savannah and Dale Austin of California; his grandchildren, Dustin Rinks, Amanda Rinks, Craig, Joseph and Felix; and his siblings, Betty Sue Degard of Hammond, Indiana and Floyd Gene Austin of Savannah, Tennessee.. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
