It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Joyce Newman in Gary, Indiana, born in Prescott, Arkansas, who passed away on November 13, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lois Elmore and George Elmore; her husband Hal Newman; her siblings, Randy Elmore, Tony Elmore, James Elmore, Ricky Elmore, Amos Elmore and Patsy Cantrell; her children, Kay (Danny Bratcher) and Hal Jr.; her son-in-law Ronnie Flow; and her grandchildren, DJ Bratcher, River Adkins, Gracelyn Garrett and Mitchell Flow.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Newman, Jackie Flow and Marilyn Hodge Newman; her grandchildren, Joshua, Drillen, Chayner Owen, Crystal Garrett, Hollie Flow, Jamie Flow, Ronnie Flow, Jr., Danna Layson (Kenny), Shannon Bratcher, David Bratcher (Rebecca), Danny Hodge and Lori Morehead; and her great grandchildren, Chrislyn, Chylyn, Jessica, Audrianna, Austin, Autum, Mason, Dixon, Maddie, Lexi, Jeremy, Donnie, Brooklyn, Chasity, Brice, Kenny, Jayla, Blake and Delanie.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. (420 N Jackson, Magnolia, AR 71753). A graveside service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Magnolia Memorial Park Cemetery (370 Columbia Rd #36, Magnolia, AR 71753).
