He was predeceased by: his parents, Segundo Santiago and Rosario Morales; and his daughter Migdalia Santiago. He is survived by: his wife Iris Acevedo Natal; his children, Luis Antonio Santiago and Lillian Maldonado (Rufino); his sisters, Aida and Panchita Santiago; and his grandchildren, Jaizel Rosado, Bernard Felder, Melisa Herrera, Melanie Colon, Jayleen Maldonado, Rufino Maldonado III and Jasmine Santiago.
