She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Gordy and Mary Lou Gordy; her husband James Ruggs, Sr.; and her brother Willie Gordy, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Phyllis Ruggs-Hayes of Minneapolis and James Ruggs, Jr. of Gary, Indiana; her granddaughter Nicole Swanegan (Jared); her great grandchildren, Norah of Minneapolis, Minnesota., Emerie of Minneapolis, Minnesota. and Josie Swanegan of Minneapolis, Minnesota.; and her sister Daisy Booker.
