She was predeceased by: her parents, Buford Smith and Marguerite Dirr Smith; and her brother Aaron D Smith. She is survived by: her sister Melanie Steiner (David); her children, Kristi Guse (Cary), Karianne McKinney (Terry), Kelli Bartkus (Scott) and Kevin King (Andrea); and her grandchildren, Jacob, Jenna Guse, London, Cashdon McKinney, Lexus, Lilly Bartkus, Kolton and Kaedon King.

Donations made in her memory will be forwarded to Wounded Warrior Project, a favorite charity of hers.
