She was predeceased by: her parents, William I. Wappes and Mildred L. Wappes (Renkenberger); and her siblings, Jack Wappes, George Wappes, William "Billy" Wappes, Merlin Wappes, Max Wappes, Dorothy Loft and Ora McFarland.
She is survived by: her husband Richard B. Griffin of Garrett, IN; her children, Penny Griffin (Tom "T. C." Cook) of Garrett, IN and Tim Griffin (Jamie) of Garrett, IN; her grandchildren, Kipp Griffin, Cassie Griffin and Madison Griffin; her great grandchildren, Olivia Boyer and Paisley Jones; and her sisters-in-law, Jean Wappes and Erma Wappes.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home (1277 Co Rd 56, Garrett, IN 46738). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are to the Garrett United Methodist Church or the Garrett Garden Club.
