He is survived by: his wife Christina Payton of Garrett; his children, Shawn Payton (Mikayla Deisler) of Auburn, Brandy Chiddister (Shannon) of Florida, Brittany Garrett of Angola, Brooke (Joseph Newsom) of Wolcottville and Blake Tarlton (Karissa Logston) of Garrett; his grandchildren, Chloe Payton, Ethan Payton, Axel Payton, Canaan Short, Grace Jetmore, Koltyn Chiddister, Kinlee Chiddister, Chloe Miller (Jake Everson), Collin Parsell, Carter Parsell and Kobe Tarlton; his great grandchild Oaklee Everson; his close friend Seth Clements; his sister Jama Campbell of Garrett; his parents-in-law, Christoper "Lum" and Dorothy McPherson of Auburn; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda, Darrel Brandenburg of Auburn, Tammy, James Kessler of Garrett, Debbie, Rich Hall of Auburn, Christopher E. "Little Lum", Leta McPherson of Auburn, Zack, Abbie McPherson of Garrett, William Helmick and Jane Payton.
