It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jama S. Campbell of Garrett, Indiana, who passed away on January 27, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Jama leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Jama may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George R. Payton Sr. and Arminda "Minnie" Payton; her husband Russell Campbell; her son-in-law Brian Lawhead; and her siblings, Bob Payton, Kim Payton and Marilyn Helmick.
She is survived by: her children, John Perry (Paula) of Waterloo, IN and Jennifer Lawhead of Garrett, IN; and her stepsons, Russell "Duane" Campbell (Diane) of Bettendorf, IA and Curtis Campbell of Avilla, IN. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
