He was predeceased by: his parents, William I. Wappes and Mildred L. Wappes (Renkenberger); and his siblings, William "Billy" Wappes, Merlin Wappes, Max Wappes, Dorothy Loft and Ora McFarland.
He is survived by: his wife Jean M. Wappes of Garrett, IN; his daughters, Dawn Lemish (Rodney) of Garrett, IN and Deanna Delauder (Bruce) of Garrett, IN; his siblings, George Wappes (Helen) of Auburn, IN and Shirley Griffin (Richard) of Garrett, IN; his grandchildren, Kayleigh Conrad (Lance) of Garrett, IN, Zachary Delauder (Kirston) of Garrett, IN and Keaton Lemish (Sierra); and his great grandchildren, Jace Delauder and Rylee Delauder.
Memorials are to the DeKalb County 4-H council or the Garrett United Methodist Church.
