He was predeceased by: his parents, Grifford Blain and Mayme Blain (Wermanger); his son Steven R Blain; his siblings-in-law, Sherry Blain and Rex Yarman; his uncle Orin Wermanger; and his nephews, David Bruner and Russell Jewell.
He is survived by: his son Michael John Blain of Garrett; his siblings, James Blain of Austin, Texas and Carol Jump (John) of Stroh; his grandchildren, Stephanie Blain, Michael A Blain (Jessie) and Austin Legere; and his great grandchildren, Zian Wilhelm, Tommy Wilhelm, Rae'Lynn Blain, King Johnson, Daya Yates, Nova Yates and Quest Yates. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Harper Funeral Homes - Avilla Chapel (530 N Main St, Avilla, IN 46710). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Avilla Chapel (530 N Main St, Avilla, IN 46710).
