He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Salmons and Lela Salmons (Kelly); and his sisters, Wanda Kranz (Gene) and Betty Heino (Bill). He is survived by: his wife Nita Lindsay; his sons, David Salmons (Carol), Daniel Salmons (Patricia) and Scott Salmons (Cindy); his grandchildren, Sara Jenkins (Ben), Emily Prather (David), Jason Salmons (Leeann), Matthew Salmons, Andrew Salmons, Kelly Foreit (Brian), Wade Salmons and Sarah Mak (Kin); his great grandchildren, Maddie Jenkins, Livy Jenkins, Ava Prather, Lila Prather, Anna Foreit, Tyler Foreit, Nolan Foreit, Jordan Mulkey and Amber White; and his great great grandchildren, Kaden Dell and Kennedy White.
