He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow G. Francis and Melvina I. Francis (Evans); and his sister Janie Isaac. He is survived by: his wife Cecelia Sexton of Galveston; his children, Nicci Hicks (David), Jenny Hensley (Bart), Angie McCray (Rik), Tony Francis, Stacey Ford (Casey) and Jay Francis (Jamie); and his brother Allen Francis (Karen).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lewis Cass Band Boosters or FFA (Future Farmers of America) in John's honor.
