He was predeceased by : his parents, Willis G. Cowen and Edna L. Cowen (Whetstone); his sister Bonnie; his brother-in-law Rodger Sherk; and his niece Beth.

He is survived by : his wife Sharon Schaadt; his daughters, Lyn Ocken (Jay) and Sara Weiderhaft (Gary); his grandchildren, Jarrett (Shianna Bradley), Justine, Jhett Ocken, Ava and Connor Weiderhaft; and his brother Rodger Cowen.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Center Community of Faith Church (1475 E Co Rd 1125 S, Galveston, IN 46932). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
