He was predeceased by: his son Dakota "Cody" Nilson; and his brother Tracy Nilson. He is survived by: his parents, Richard Nilson and Lois Nilson of Twelve Mile. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his first grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home in c/o the family to assist with expenses.
