She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthias Franzen and Laura Franzen (Garbes); her husband Vernon; her siblings, Dorothy Franzen, Edward Franzen and Daniel A. Franzen; and her siblings-in-law, Dona Franzen, Connie Franzen and Don Cole.
She is survived by: her children, Ray Douglas Steva (Mariah) of Waterloo and TaJohnna "T. J." Steva (Christy) of Des Moines. She is also survived by twelve step-grandchildren and seventeen step-great-grandchildren.
