He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Phillips and Ruth Phillips (Knight); his siblings, Gerald, Roy Phillips and Mary Sue Wheat; and his grandson Jason Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Phillips of French Lick; his children, Tim Phillips of Paoli, Nicky Joe Phillips of French Lick, Tammie Tedrow (Travis Pemberton) of Loogootee and Carrie Phillips of French Lick; his stepdaughters, LeaAnn Probasco-Spencer of Newburgh, Shelly Probasco Cooper (Tom) of Brazil, Lisa Jones (Charlie) of Huntingburg and Teresa Morrison (Kevin) of Huntingburg; his sisters, Betty Raven (Bob) of Alfordsville, Linda Huff of Hillham, Sandy Alspaugh (Harold) of French Lick, Molly Reese (Dan) of Mitchell, Reta Smith (Bill) of French Lick, Pam Rausch (Glen) of French Lick and Judy Beck (Edward) of French Lick; and his grandchildren, Justin Phillips, Scotty Tedrow and Tasha Tedrow Reese. He is also survived by Several Step-Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Step Great-Grandchildren.
