He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hughes and Hazel Hughes (Luttrell); and his brothers, Don, Ronnie and Bob Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hughes of French Lick; his children, Eric Hughes (Zoe) of Bloomington and Kelly Mundt (Tom) of Carmel; his sister Mary Jane Harrison (George) of French Lick; and his grandchildren, Drew, Karlee, Alex and Olivia.
