He was predeceased by: his parents, Porter Elwood and Alma Jane Walters (Young); his siblings, Clarence, Glen, Carrol, Norman Walters, Joan Cook, Anna Grunden, Mary Kearby, Betty Lou and Jane Walters; and his daughter-in-law Melissa Spurgeon Walters.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Walters of French Lick, Indiana; his children, Charles Walters of Indianapolis, John Walters (Jamie) of Lake Forest, Illinois and Debra Lankford (Ray) of French Lick, Indiana; his brother Wayne Walters (Dorothy) of Paoli, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Nacole Walters, Cody Walters, Ashley Rostron (Andy), Ron Knapp, III and Lily Walters. He is also survived by Great-Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews.
