He was predeceased by: his parents, George Joseph Samuels and Georgia Elizabeth Urbahns; his wife Carol Sue Samuels (Rike); his son Sammy M. Samuels II; his sons-in-law, Allan Trovillion and Larry Gilbert; and his sister Betty Jo Wright.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jaye Trovillion (Bob Humes) of Lithia, Kelly Gilbert of Fremont and Linda Treadway (Justin) of Pendleton, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Sarah Lewis (Andy) of Angola, Aaron Mauk (Jessica) of Fishers, Madeline Newton (Brad) of Fishers, Samantha Samuels of Converse, Alec Samuels (Jordan) of Indianapolis, Adam Trovillion of Lithia and Allison Tew (Justin) of Lithia Florida. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
