He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph C. Sr. Caruso and Mary Ann Caruso (DeRose). He is survived by: his wife Barbara R. Caruso of Fremont, Indiana; his children, Liat Peters (John) of Angola, Lisa Aldrich (Todd) of Fremont, Dan Caruso (Lori) of Angola and Gina Hirschy (Scott) of Angola, Indiana; his grandchildren, J. Joseph Peters, Maggie Peters (Angie), Sarah Renner (Sean), Anna Shaw (Michael), Natalie Barney (Michael), Rachel Caruso (Luke Mungovan), Isaac Hirschy (Katie Baker) and Emma Hirschy; his great grandchildren, Blaze Peters, Namaste Peters, Kai Peters, Keanu Peters and Mia Barney; and his sisters, Joanne Krudop of Fort Wayne, Kathy Parnin (Paul) of Fort Wayne and Marianne Connett of Fort Wayne, Indiana..
