Ramona Ruth Ashburn Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ramona Ruth Ashburn of Freetown, Indiana, born in Medora, Indiana, who passed away on July 7, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Schwartz and May Turney Schwartz; her husband Kenneth Ray Ashburn; her siblings, Bernadine Stephens, Gertrude Harder and George Schwartz; and her grandson Steven Ashburn.
She is survived by: her children, Dana Ruth Prieto (Bobby) of Brownstown, Ramona Sue Strohe (Ron) of Seymour, Ronald R. Ashburn of Milltown, Kenneth Michael Ashburn (Janet) of Orleans, Doyle Timothy Ashburn of Seymour, Roy Mitchell Ashburn of Bedford, David Allen Ashburn of Freetown and Jeffrey Paul Ashburn (Debra) of Ladoga; and her sister Maysel Barker (Bill) of Franklin. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given in Ruth's memory to Pershing Township Fire Dept. or Freetown Pentecostal Church at Burkholder Chapel.
