It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laverne Howard Wait of Freetown, Indiana, born in Nashua, Iowa, who passed away on January 4, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Arthur and Violet June Waite (Ferch); his son Dale Wait; and his stepson Michael Tice. He is survived by: his wife Valerie K. Wait (Grapevine) of Freetown, IN; his sons, Darryl Wait (Jean) and Daniel Wait (Lettie) of San Pedro, California; his stepchildren, Robert Tice of Hope, Ernie Tice of Freetown, David Lawson of Texas and Trina Faye Tice of Hope, Indiana; his siblings, Dale Waite (Becky) of Martinsville, Indiana and Brenda Woolbright of Columbus, Indiana; and his grandsons, Daniel Wait, Jr. and Tommy Wait. He is also survived by great grandchildren, twelve step great grandchildren and twenty-seven step great grandchildren.
