He is survived by: his children, Steven Mowdy (Ashley) of Columbus, Indiana and Kristin Anderson of Freetown, Indiana; his brother Maynard Tedder of West Virginia; and his grandchildren, Destiny, Zoey, Isaiah, Cora Mowdy, Gavin, Tucker, Madison, Sophia Gourley, Arlene, Ariel Peters, James "Bub" Anderson Jr. and Aaron Broughton.
