He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Walls and Nellie L. Walls (Davis); his wife Goldie May Smith Walls; and his sisters, Thelma West and Helen Cain.

He is survived by: his children, Leon Walls (Vicki), Steve Walls (Tina), Julie Moore (Mike) and Jackie Bethards (Kenny); and his siblings, Robert Walls (Nettie), Harold Walls (Betty) and Delores Hignight. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
