With solemn reverence, we commemorate Velma Dorothy Carie of Freedom, Indiana, whose life came to an end on February 23, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Lewis Parker and Dorothy Pauline Parker (Adams); her husband Ralph Edwin Carie; her grandson Joseph Norris, Jr.; her siblings, Marvin Roy Parker and Wilma Cary; her son-in-law William White; and her great grandchild Austin Hosier.
She is survived by: her children, Dorothy Racey, Darlene White, Deanna McCracken (Kevin) and Ralph Carie, Jr. (Kenna); and her siblings, Larry Parker (Debbie) and Shirley LeGroux. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home (105 N Montgomery St, Spencer, IN 47460). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Catholic Church in Spencer.
