He was predeceased by: his father Fredrick Mort; his wife Sonia Mort (DeVaney); and his siblings, Fred Mort, Bill Mort, Martha Holmquist and Beverly Dennis.
He is survived by: his children, Edward E. Mort, II of Elwood and Tracy LaRussa of Frankton, IN. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Frankton Police Department.
