He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Barnes and Ethel Barnes (Sandlin); his brother Loyd Barnes; and his brother-in-law Joe Dehority. He is survived by: his wife Carol Barnes; his daughter Pamela Barnes of Frankton; his siblings, Lena Dehority of Indianapolis and Donald Barnes (Linda) of Anderson; and his brother-in-law Thomas Hires of Frankton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
