He was predeceased by: his parents, Caston Shoemaker and Joyce Shoemaker (Ford); and his sister Gina. He is survived by: his wife Kristina Shoemaker; his daughters, Brittney Shoemaker (Justin Cook) and Kaley Shoemaker (Brant Coen); his grandchildren, Drew Shoemaker, Alex Shoemaker, Hunter Cook and Imiah Coble; his stepchildren, Joshua Harless (Tiffany), Dustin Harless (Veronica Stephany), Danielle Southerland (Shaun) and Megan Wells (Shaun); and his siblings, David Shoemaker (Dottie), Kathy Collins and Lisa Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
