He was predeceased by: his parents, William Riley Cox Sr. and Jessie Fon Cox (Shake); and his brothers, Edward Earl Smithers and Charles James Smithers. He is survived by: his nephew James Skaggs; and his brother Robert L. Cox of Franklin, IN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many friends.
