She was predeceased by: her parents, James Vernon Hyde and Florence Mildred Hyde (Mayo); and her husband Donald "Don" Clyde Smith. She is survived by: her children, Stephen C. Smith (Kim), Amy L. Bennett (Howie), D. Scott Smith and Susan L. Childress (Dave); her grandchildren, Lauren Smith, Harrison Smith (Emily), Hannah Bennett, Gracie Bennett, K. Scott Smith (Kilie), Trent Childress (Katie), Traci Lindsey (Jason), Terri Perry (Jimmy), Travis Childress (Kelsi) and Tyler Childress (Samantha); and her siblings, Marilyn Smallwood (Paul), Brenda Chandler (Bill), Jim Hyde (Rose), Joe Hyde (Amy) and Mike Hyde. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home (2898 N Morton St, Franklin, IN 46131). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Johnson County Senior Services.
