She was predeceased by: her husband Gentry Akers; her former husband Oscar Emo Key; her parents, William Gratton Kennedy and Bea Deckard Kennedy; her grandchildren, Bradley Scott Key, Chad Curtis Loveday and Shelby Autumn Scanlon; and her siblings, Melvin Clyde Kennedy (Martha), William Grant Kennedy (Evelyn), George Leston Kennedy, James Robert Kennedy, Harold Lee Kennedy, Jean Katrine Miller (Ray), Martha Mae Nilson (Bill) and Mary Kennedy.
She is survived by: her son Joseph Key (Tilina); her grandsons, Roger Akers, David Akers (Gerald) and Doug Akers (Kathy); her daughters, Melinda Akers and Lisa Crabtree (Wayne); her sister Ester Percifield; her grandchildren, David Thomas Key, Theresa Ann Devine, Amber Kay Von Leue (Kenneth), Joseph Eugene Key II (Kimberly), Ashley Rae Morris, Audrey Michelle Key (Kyle), Dalton Pierce Vaquer (Mya), Lori Lee Kean (Silvestre), Doug Edward Loveday and Eric Washington (Marvyale); and her great grandchildren, Madilyne Summer Devine, Brittany Leigh Harmeyer, Zaiyer Thomas Key, Trinity Reign Francis, Freya IsabelleRose Minguez, Athena Elaine Minguez, Elias Zayne Vaquer, Shyla Ashlynn Von Leue, Kenna Rain Von Leue, Devlin Conner Von Leue, Courtney Bailey Wilson, Caeori Vella Key, Bryson Lee Pope, Ian Patrick Pope, Avah Mae Morris, Logan David Kean, Alex Lee Kean-Vargas, Layla Marke Luna, Jaxson Joseph Loveday, Mallory Crabtree, Matthew Crabtree (Bria), Sydney Nicole Harrison (Lucas) and Amy Lorrance. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Auburndale Community Church (601 Stadium Rd, Auburndale, FL 33823). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513).
