It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Shaw of Franklin, Indiana, born in New Blaine, Arkansas, who passed away on July 13, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Joan departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Joan leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Ebbing and Caroline Ebbing (Schulte); her husband James Shaw; and her siblings, Ben Ebbing, Mary Ann Wilkins and Doris Thomasson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Marrero and Cara Shaw; and her grandson Casey Marrero (Meghann). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chihuahua Rescue Indiana, Inc.; ASPCA or to St. Jude Hospital for Children.
