He was predeceased by: his parents, John DeCosta Chapin (Jack) and Earldine Axelson Chapin. He is survived by: his siblings, John D. Chapin of Grand Rapids, MI and Janice L. Chapin (Robert Stranzenbach) of Scotch Plains, NJ; his niece Elizabeth Stranzenbach; and his cousins, Rebecca Oakes (Douglas), Paul Chapin (Peter Simone), Scott Chapin (Reka), Gordon Axelson (Anne) and Sharon Case.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Chapel of Otterbein Franklin SeniorLife Community (1070 W Jefferson St, Franklin, IN 46131). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County or Special Olympics of Indiana.
