He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Dowd and Mallie Dowd (Hollan); his stepmother Mabel Dowd (Combs); and his grandchildren, Clintin and Dustin Lynch.
He is survived by: his wife Chloe Dowd (Fortenberry); and his children, Robbie Lucas (Leon), Garry L. Dowd (Charmayne) of Laurel, Randy Dowd of Sun City, AZ and Jackie Dowd, Jr. (Lorna) of Metamora. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
