He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Bryant Harmon and Velma Lottie Harmon (Hammond); his wife Shirley "Jean" Harmon (Harrison); and his siblings, Charles Thomas Harmon, Fred Harmon, Alice Leona Dragoo, Mary Kathryn Logsdon, Nancy Louise Ledger, Helen Elizabeth Kissee and Patricia Ann Harmon.
He is survived by: his children, Phillip Harmon (Lesa) of Whiteland, IN and Suzanne Rakow (Tracy) of Whiteland, IN; his grandchildren, Justin Harmon (Sarah), Brandon Harmon (Taeko), Carley Schwerer (Logan), Amanda Williams (Ryan) and Hannah Rakow (Brian Rykovich); his great grandchildren, Ryver, Saige, Cullen Harmon, Addison Havenar, Cambry Schwerer and Bret Williams; and his siblings, Lois Fay Hayes of Shelbyville, IN and Richard Lee Harmon (Kalynn) of Edinburgh, IN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center (300 S Morton St, Franklin, IN 46131). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens (1977 S State Rd 135, Greenwood, IN 46143).
