He is survived by: his children, James "Mike" Shirley (Tracy), Randy Shirley, Karen Stafford (Jeff) and Patsy Byrd (Jerry); and his sister Arvilla Blackwell. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
