He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Fairfield and Mary Fairfield (Strong); his former wife Rosemarie Utterback; his wife Janet Sue Brant; and his siblings, David Fairfield, Marion Fairfield, Helen Smith and Anna Fairfield.
He is survived by: his children, Rita Thomas (Scott) of Champaign, IL, Norma McFarland (Bill Kaiser) of Elwood, IN, Edith Dewey of Lafayette, IN and Jesse Fairfield (Theresa) of California; and his siblings, Bill Fairfield of Cloverdale, IN, Raymond Fairfield (Penny) of Michigan, Paul Fairfield (Beth) of Lebanon, IN, Jesse Fairfield Jr. of Thorntown, IN and Louise Hudson of LaPorte, IN. He is also survived by 15 Grandchildren; and 46 Great-Grandchildren.
