She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Joyce C. Goodnight; her former husband Morris Goodnight; her sons, Kevin Goodnight (Tammy) and Tony Goodnight; her grandchildren, Alicia Horton of Frankfort, Nathan of Frankfort, Chad of Frankfort, James Goodnight of Frankfort, Brianna Ingram of Lafayette, Krista Himes of Lafayette and Cameron Himes of Lafayette; her siblings, Velma Smith, Linda Jobe, Julia Crabtree (Larry), Bonnie Harness (Frank), Norman Beets (Carolyn), David Beets, Raymond Beets (Lonnie) and Kenneth Beets; and her siblings-in-law, Tom Smith, Wayne Jobe and Kathy Beets. She was also cherished by 12 Great Grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made in Joyce's honor to the Alzheimer's Society or Dementia Society of America.
