He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold S. Neal and Mary Marjorie Neal (Woods); his spouse Caryl Grice; his son Dr. Charles A. Neal; his daughter-in-law Barbara Neal; and his brothers, Russell and Joseph Neal.
He is survived by: his children, H. Steven Neal (Jennifer) of Kirklin, David M. Neal (Melody) of Frankfort and Joycelyn Neal of Frankfort; his stepchildren, Harriet Carey (Marc) of Kentucky and Jim Ed Kirk (Jana) of Kentucky; and his sister Barbara Stillwell of Frankfort. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren with 2 great-great grandchildren.
