He was predeceased by: his parents, Altus Dieterlen and Nellie Dieterlen (Mahan); his sister Freda Melama (Don); and his great grandchild Lylah Dieterlen. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Purcell of Frankfort; his children, Jon Dieterlen (Kim) of Thorntown and Julie Lester (Dennis) of Crawfordsville; his grandchildren, Megan Taylor (Andrew), Sarah Joly (Tim), Jonathon Dieterlen (Chanda), Jacqueline Foster (Dustin), Jasmine Patel (Danish) and Emily Harrison (Mike Shereyk); his great grandchildren, Damien, Rowan, Alyssa, Carter, Cheyenne, Brooklyn and Katy; and his siblings, Dr. Paul Dieterlen (Jan), Avon, Carl Dieterlen (Leona) of Millington, Tennessee and Janice Segal (Norman) of St. Clair, Minnesota. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
