He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Lee Fugate (Wagers) and Rev. Robert Fugate; his siblings, Eva Terry, Evaline, Mae Smallwood, Bertha Galbreath, Hallie Bee Fugate-Carroll, Delcie Salyers and Paul Fugate; his nephew Jason Salyers; and his niece Melissa Salyers.

He is survived by: his sisters, Kathy Huff of Plant City, Helen Fredrick (Art) of Valparaiso, Jewel Minck of Plant City and Flora Nance of Bremen, Indiana..
