He was predeceased by : his parents, Ora Lee Fugate (Wagers) and Rev. Robert Fugate; his siblings, Eva Terry, Evaline, Mae Smallwood, Bertha Galbreath, Hallie Bee Fugate-Carroll, Delcie Salyers and Paul Fugate; his nephew Jason Salyers; and his niece Melissa Salyers.

He is survived by : his sisters, Kathy Huff of Plant City, Helen Fredrick (Art) of Valparaiso, Jewel Minck of Plant City and Flora Nance of Bremen, Indiana..

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel (108 S Main St, Knox, IN 46534). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
